Description

Took this picture a few years ago. That carpenter ant strayed a little too close to a Lasius colony while foraging.
The large ant is a carpenter (Camponotus pennsylvanicus), while the smaller ones are from the genus Lasius.

I never manage to take correct macros of ants. Too fast. The expression "ants in one's trousers" does not come out of the blue...
